our story

As a first generation Haitian-American, I spent my earliest summers with my grandparents in the bustling capital of Port-au-Prince. The energy always felt familial and communal; lively market scenes, neighbors trading rice for corn and us kids drinking coconut water straight from the source.

We also ventured away from the city and explored the country in Saint-Marc. My grandfather Papi Mica would throw at least six of his grandchildren in the back of his pick-up truck and off to his sugar cane plantation we went. While he lovingly surveyed his harvest, we chewed and sucked through the sweet stalks. It was pure joie de vivre!

No summer was complete without day long treks to Ibo Beach. In between swimming in the clearest waters with sand trickling through my jelly sandals, I devoured mango; my favorite fruit.

After 15+ years as a beauty marketing executive, I decided to develop a lifestyle skincare brand inspired by my ancestors, Haiti's lush vegetation and culture, with oral tradition leading the process. Ma famille survived by living off the land; planting seeds, watching them grow and harvesting what would eventually create a legacy.

sēd represents Haiti's rich history and agriculture with a focus on the seed; when cold-pressed sans heat, chemicals or bleaching, sēd's organic seed oils naturally retain nourishing fatty acids, regenerating, healing antioxidants, and resurfacing amino acids, just a few of many benefits from active plant compounds.

I was blown away to learn of the extreme skin benefits that my ancestral land held. A nod to Haiti's national fruit, sēd launches with the Trinity Capsule featuring Organic Mango Seed Oil, a lightweight, non-greasy face and body oil, derived from 100% cold-pressed mango kernels.

Each product is uniquely curated to hydrate, heal and renew skin, whether you use one oil at a time, all three, or integrate into an existing selfcare routine. Enjoy the results!
